Surgical robotics was little more than a medical curiosity until 1999, the year Intuitive Surgical, Inc. (Nasdaq: ISRG) introduced the da Vinci Surgical System. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum line up-time while achieving established planning metrics. We will count on your prior success managing potential line shortages by analyzing build schedules, shortage reports, on hand inventory reports and supplier delivery information. Because of your honed and persuasive communication skills, you will quickly and easily develop strong relationships with our Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping and Customer Service groups to manage supply and demand. Prior experience in a high volume environment--resolving work order variances as well as tracking root cause in SAP/Datasweep--will ensure you are up to speed quickly on our existing procedures. Your goal will be to establish a lean manufacturing mentality as you act as a liaison to integrate new products into existing manufacturing processes.
