Production Supervisor

Lumenis Ltd. develops, manufactures and markets state-of-the-art proprietary laser and intense pulsed light devices. Its systems are used in a variety of aesthetic, surgical and ophthalmic applications, including skin treatments, hair removal, non-invasive treatment of vascular lesions and pigmented lesions, acne, ENT, gynecology, urinary lithotripsy, benign prostatic hyperplasia, open angle glaucoma, secondary cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, and refractive eye correction, as well as neurosurgery.





PRIMARY FUNCTION

 

Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Will supervise production lines and coordinate the scheduling of people, materials, and equipment.

· Interact with quality assurance, engineering, R&D, production planning and purchasing department to coordinate and resolve production related issues.

· Perform all personnel related functions related to production assembly staff including interviewing, training, time tracking and performance evaluations.

· Utilize sound judgment in making decisions that affect product quality, production output, product costs, and employee safety and morale.

· Work as a team to solve problems, implement process changes, and introduce new product/equipment.

· Promote and instill a culture of continuous improvement

· Understand SOP’s that pertain to manufacturing.

· Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

· Bachelor degree in a technical discipline (Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering) is required.

· Requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in a related industry such as medical equipment, optical systems, lasers or biotechnology

 

Knowledge & Skills

 

· Extensive knowledge of medical products.

· Understand ISO and FDA Regulations.

· Anticipates and works on problems of diverse scope and complex nature that require the evaluation of multiple factors and exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

· Good computer skills.

· Participates in group decision making with managers in the department, in other departments as appropriate, and with outside parties on requests

· Foresees internal and external company issues, makes recommendations as needed

· Works effectively in a team environment including leadership and teambuilding

 

 

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
