ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for controlling and improving safety, quality, delivery and cost. Responsible for continuous improvement efforts. Control variable cost in the department. Cooperate with other Fabrication staff to ensure effective management of the production area. Provide excellent customer service to Hill-Rom internal customers Actively support and carry out Hill-Rom management policies including: Plant Safety Rules, Plant Work Rules, Human Resource Policies Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Associate degree in Business or Engineering; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience. Proactive leadership skills and the ability to motivate others. High energy, excellent communication, and strong organizational skills. Ability to adapt to changing situations and work with people to produce results. Working knowledge in continuous improvement techniques and lean processing. Behavior that supports daily improvement activity.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:Supervisory experience with metal fabrication processes. Overall knowledge of Hill-Rom product lines and of the Health care industry. Four year degree in a technical field or equivalent. Understanding of JDE scheduling and KanBan systems.
