Function as a team member on complex product and technology development projects. Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan within the scope of the New Product Development Process (NPDP) and New Technology DevelopmentProcess (NTDP) guidelines. Orchestrate team efforts to achieve milestones and resolve issues. High visibility position with exposure to all disciplines of product design, manufacturing, and marketing as well as senior management.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-Communicate frequently across all project disciplines to ensure both team and senior management is aware of upcoming milestones as well as risks/issues.-Conduct regular meetings with project teams to resolve issues and risks, maintain engagement and focus, and share updates with all team members.-Maintain timelines with regular updates to re-project milestones, monitor critical path, and calculate launch dates while maintaining baseline data.-Coordinate with project leaders to foresee/understand critical project activities and to enable them to manage team resources and tasks to avoid critical path slippage.-Partner with project team members outside of R&D to maintain engagement and focus on project commitments and dependencies.-Create/maintain metrics to track new product development timeline historical performance by NPDP project phase.-Create, maintain, and utilize project templates for various types of NPDP projects.-Provide support to non-NPDP projects as tasked by senior management.Solid practical leadership/project management experience.-Strong organizing skills.-Demonstrated ability to independently initiate work and take a hands-on approach to work across functional departments.-Above-average communication skills (written/oral).-Familiar with Microsoft applications including MS Project and Project Server.Bachelor Degree required, preferably in a technical or business field. Program/project management training or coursework a plus.
