Project Administrator
A member of the Project Management team responsible for managing integration points between the newly implemented SAP Project System (PS) module and Microsoft Project (MSP) and other Project Management functions that will need to performed in SAP PS. The interface point of SAP PS that this role will be responsible for will be between the generation/creation of the SAP PS project (from Contracts Administration) and Accounting. Therefore the Project Administrator must ensure the project plans generated in SAP PS accurately reflect items from the Sales Order including the project structure, schedule, duration, planned costs, and milestones. Also, that any non-standard task durations are accurately reflected in the actual implementation project plan. Project System is a critical part of the business, therefore this position requires strong communication skills and ability to troubleshoot problems in a timely manner (so that the project links are not broken and revenue can be properly recognized and expenses properly accounted for). The Project Administrator will work closely with the EPM Program manager to ensure that new products and services are accurately mapped (for bi-directional interface between SAP PS and MSP. The Project Administrator must interface with a diverse group of Varian employees including Accounting, Project Management, Contracts Administration, Sales Administration, and Template Administrator as needed to apply changes to the project(s). Primary contact for Radiation Oncology, Brachytherapy, and Medical Oncology.
