Project Engineer

Axya Medical is a medical device company established in Beverly Massachusetts. Our facility has R&D and Manufacturing capability, and is currently shipping innovative product used in shoulder arthroscopy. We have an opening on our development team for a Mechanical Engineer who is looking to have an impact on a device development team, and learn all design engineering aspects of medical device and implant development; from conceptual design right through introduction to market.

 

Responsibilities:

· Support a Principal Engineer in the development of new orthopedic implants and devices for Sports Medicine Arthroscopy

· Design and manage the development of new product prototypes used in laboratory and clinical evaluation

· Provide Technical and logistical support for laboratory and clinical testing

· Generate documentation, to support FDA GMP & ISO 1345-2003 Design Controls for Class I, II & III Medical Devices

 

Qualifications:

· BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field

· 2 to 5 years experience of medical device development

· Skilled in SolidWorks CAD, MSOffice programs

· Basic project management and vendor handling experience

· Familiar with FDA/CE compliance requirements

· Prefer tolerance stackup, GD&T and mechanical and thermal FEA experience
