JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Project Engineer will be expected to perform implant and instrument design work as well as lead complex multifunctional teams to advance assigned projects through the design /development process and ultimately through launch into the market. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Modeling and detailing of implant and instrumentation designs utilizing the PRO/E design software.Setting the direction and managing the work flow of other engineers within the scope of assigned projects.Development of prototypes for design verification and validation.Interfacing with clinical advisors to gather input for design and evaluation of new products.Utilization / Management of the Design Controls (NPDP).Technical report writing as needed.Lead and participate on crossfunctional design teams to develop new products as well as address design issues / maintenance of existing ones.Utilize advanced knowledge of all aspects of the surgical procedure and relationships with clinical advisors to develop innovative solutions to solve / satisfy customer needs.Develop and manage teams to adhere to project plans and time lines within the scope of the NPDP guidelines.Establishing and maintaining relationships with the key design consulting group in order to recognize and anticipate industry trends, and user needs.Mentor other engineers in best practices, industry trends, and skill development.QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be self-starters, have a hands-on approach and capability to work independently and lead teams.Experience with a parametric CAD design package.PRO E preferred.EDUCATION:
Bachealors degree in a science, with a Masters Degree in a technical or management discipline preferred.
