Position Description:
This position manages the activities and strategies associated with a project that supports a business need. Specifically, this individual manages all aspects of new product development (NPD) and/or life cycle engineerng (LCE) projects from project inception through launch. The Project Manager is responsible for driving cross-functional collaboration and ensuring that all design control requirements are met prior to product release.The Project Manager acts as the internal liaison between NPD, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Regulatory for the purpose of project budgeting, resource allocation, scheduling project activities, driving timely product launch, and reporting on project progress. In addition, the MR Coils Project Manager manages technical relationships with MRI scanner manufacturers. Primary Responsibilities:1. Serves as team leader for multiple MR Coils NPD and LCE projects. Directs responsibility for delivering projects on time and within budget while meeting program quality and reliability goals. Maintains alignment of project resources and stakeholders.2. Manages project scope, planning, schedule, cost, resources, quality, communications, and risk throughout the project lifecycle. 3. Actively evaluates the critical path and reprioritizes and/or redirects project activities to address and mitigate risks prior to project impact.4. Facilitates problem resolution and decision making for all project activities.5. Manages multi-year investments in reasonably defined projects or programs.6. Formulates and owns product vision.7. Provides innovation in existing processes and technologies to be successful.Technical / Behavioral Requirements: 1. Ability to effectively lead, direct, coach and motivate a project team in a high-paced concurrent engineering environment.2. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple, competing priorities in achievement of project goals.3. Project Management Professional certification preferred.4. Recommended 10+ years of broad technical skill to apply technologies to specific clinical needs and applications.5. Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree recommended. 6. Proven progressive technical leadership experience in project or functional management roles.7. Proven ability to use relevant knowledge across a breadth of technical disciplines and applicable technologies with depth in some subspecialties.8. Strong competency in Customer Focus, Driving for Results, Integrity and Trust, Ethics and Values and Compassion. 9. Proven ability to demonstrate at minimum, MEDRAD’s Supervisor competencies: Decision Quality, Developing Direct Repots, Motivating Others, Managerial Courage and Business Acumen.
