About the Opportunity

Become the Insurance Specialist/Customer Service of an Inc 500 company that was named #3 on the Best Places to Work in Houston.  We are currently looking for a Purchaser to help us achieve our vision of providing the highest possible level of customer service and professionalism.

The primary responsibilities for the Insurance Specialist  will include, but are not limited to:





·  Ensure that all materials and equipment needed by the Departments are available and in good order at all times.

·  Coordinate with Supervisor or Senior Purchaser in obtaining Purchase Order numbers.

·  Evaluate different bids and proposals to get the best possible price for products needed. Negotiate prices, attempting to reduce fabrication cost by a minimum of 30%.

·  For general office supply needs, conduct a weekly inventory and order by Tuesdays, and continue to store and check needed items. For urgent needs, order supplies as needed.

·  Organize, maintain and prepare inventory system that will be utilized by all Departmental employees.

·  Prepare inventory reports and correspondence.

·  Create, prepare, maintain and update the following reports and submit to the Director of Operations

 

The ideal Candidate will possess the following:

·2+ years experience 

·Demonstrate attention to detail.

·Proficient in computers, specifically, Word, Excel, and Windows

·Exhibit excellent communication skills.

·Demonstrate good customer service skills

·Must be able to handle multiple tasks, complexity, and diversity of customers

 Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $12.00 - $17.00 hourly.
