QUALITY ENGINEER

 

Curlin Medical, Inc. (part of Moog Medical Devices Group) is an innovative medical technology company, focused on creating industry-leading infusion systems, located in Huntington Beach, California.

We are dedicated to safely managing post operative pain following any surgical procedure. Through investment in research & development and relying on our vast expertise, we design and develop advanced wound perfusion systems and disposable pain pumps associated with post operative pain that improve medication safety, optimize application performance and reduce medical expenses.

 

The Quality Engineer will work at the Curlin Medical second office location in Temecula, California in San Diego county. 

 

Functional Job Description:

 Design, installation and evaluation of quality assurance process sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques; designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. Analyze production and service limitations and standards; recommend revision of specifications where appropriate. Recommend revision of specifications when appropriate. Formulate or helps to formulate quality assurance policies and procedures. Prepares and performs design and process verification and validation protocols. Interface with other engineering functions within the company and with customers and suppliers on quality related issues. Prepares and performs software verification and validation protocols. Prepares quality plans for each assigned product. This includes sampling points and plans, process control requirements, test methods and functional evaluation criteria at all stages throughout product life.  Conduct process capability studies and design experiments and special studies necessary to increase control and lower total quality costs. Use principles of performance evaluation and prediction to improve the safety, reliability and maintainability of products and systems. Plans reliability tests and conducts analyses of field failures.  Develops and administers reliability information systems for failure analysis and performance improvement.

 

Qualifications:4-year degree in a technical field5+ years of experience, in the medical device industry

 

Other Qualifications: CQE and CRE certification preferred.Ability to use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gages, etc.) Ability to use standard office software (Word, Excel, E-mail) Write and review technical documents Operate electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, meters, analyzers, etc.) Strong communication skills with all levels of personnel Ability to work in a team environment
