Research and Technology Director for a Manufacturing, Medical Devices & Equipment Company 11556

Our client specializes in integrated bed systems, mattress replacement systems, pressure reducing overlays, lateral rotation systems, stretcher pads, chair cushions and heel care devices; currently there is a need for a Research and Technology Director to join their New York team. The Director will report directly to President and Chief Clinical Officer.  Will have interaction with marketing, product development, sales, engineering, and clinical research departments. Minimal travel is required.

 

Requirements include five or more years experience as a Scientist/Researcher who understands unrelated technologies and dissimilar technologies and how they may relate to company's product applications.  PhD or MD are requirements Some experience with materials management helpful.  Must have patent process understanding and have knowledge of intellectual property.  Needs to be creative with practical applications.  Materials research and development is helpful.
