SENIOR PRINCIPAL ENGINEER-MEDICAL DEVICE

 SENIOR PRINCIPAL ENGINEER  My client is a progressive and rapidly growing medical technology company (pre-IPO) that develops and markets proprietary and innovative electro-surgical products. They are looking for a seasoned principal engineer to provide a high level of technical support to the concept and product development teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:· Provide technical input to development efforts utilizing knowledge in the areas of biomedical science and electro surgery· Maintains an understanding of current technology and competitive efforts in the area electro surgery· Plans, carries out and summarizes studies both on bench scale and in animals to support the development efforts· Establishes and maintains active relationships with key opinion leaders· Mentors and seeks to continually increase the technical knowledge of R&D staff· Establishes self as company’s technology expert and possesses a clear understanding of its intellectual property. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:· 4 year degree in engineering or related field with a high level of expertise in electro surgery (5-7 years)· Biomedical Engineering degree highly desirable· Experience in medical device industry with the ability to effectively interact with surgeons· Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and comprehend highly complex technical subjects and issues; proven creativity and ability to think conceptually at a high level· Ability to effectively interact and communicate with others both verbally and in written form· Basic knowledge of quality, engineering and manufacturing principles· Personal drive to continually meet or exceed objectives. Excellent compensation, benefits and bonus-Equal Opportunity Employer  MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
