Sales Analyst

To compliment our professional team, we are seeking a Sales Analyst who will support Sales & Marketing with responsibilities to include assisting with quota and compensation management for the sales organization; assisting with reporting and database creation, and providing overall support and analysis.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Quota and Compensation for the sales organization (consisting of field reps, corporate sales reps, division managers, sales trainer, and ad-hoc incentive/spiff plans)
- Analyze and implement quota allocation methods
- Analyze sales force performance to goal and make recommendations for changes
- Manage and apply changes to individual or total quotas and/or sales as necessary
- Calculate the sales compensation plans
- Analyze compensation expenditures to budget to ensure targeted payout
- Analyze, make recommendations, and apply compensation changes to plans
- Monitors compensation issues
o Implement and track payout of compensation plans
o Calculate and analyze commission payments
o Implement and track manual adjustments and bonus calculations
Database and Reporting
- Provide sales data
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and year to date reports
- Examine and evaluate purpose and content of sales reports to develop new, or improve existing format, use, and control
- Confer with sales organization to identify reporting and database problems and/or gaps and oversee improvements
- Provide ad-hoc reports as needed
- Assist, advise, and issue instructions concerning creation, completion, and distribution of reports
- Develop and update reports and databases as needed including Competitive Database, Segmentation Database, and Sales Funnel / Conversion reporting.
- Assist, monitor, and support database creation, implementation, and maintenance including:
Analysis
- Assist with territory alignment, account assignment, and growth
o Implement development and design changes of new territories or redesign of existing territories
- Assist the development of the annual budget for all Sales and Marketing departments
o Monitor budget expenditures
- Highlight areas of interest or concern for management
- Research and evaluate current economic, financial, and market conditions
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and support as needed
- Participate as member of sales compensation committee
- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned by Manager and Executive Management
Qualifications
· Three (3) years experience as an analyst and/or related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university
o MBA (Finance and/or Information Management) from an accredited college or university - preferred
· Excellent analytical skills
· Advanced level computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MapPoint)
o Master level proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel)
· Intermediate level knowledge with Crystal Reports, SQL, OLAP, Business Objects, and/or other relational databases.
· Intermediate knowledge of BPCS and/or CRM systems
· Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
· Must have excellent organizational skills, be extremely conscientious, attentive to detail, and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks
· Ability to work effectively in a group or team environment
· Ability to quickly learn new software, reporting tools, skills, and abilities.
· Must be self directed and life long learner
· Must be willing to travel occasionally
· Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
