Join a new Global Leader in the medical equipment marketplace. Mindray Medical International has announced its plan to acquire the Patient Monitoring business of Datascope Corp. The new Mindray-Datascope USA is already a well established and growing business with sales approaching $200M annually. Headquartered in Mahwah, NJ, Mindray-Datascope USA is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for their Mid-Atlantic territory, ideally located out of Baltimore, Washington DC, Northern VA, Pittsburgh, Cleveland or Nashville.
Essential functions of the position include but are not limited to: Meeting the monthly, quarterly and annual regional sales quota.Provide direction and leadership for field Sales Representatives. Direct management responsibility for Sales Reps including, but not limited to, performance management, skill development, coaching and mentoring of sales technique and territory management. Execution of regional business development strategies including education, regional trade show identification and support, IDN business development, etc. Develop and monitor monthly/quarterly/annual sales plan and expenses, manage budgets and performance to ensure that the sales and revenue objectives are met. Work closely with the National Sales Manager and Vice President of U.S. Sales for short and long-term strategic planning; annual sales plans and compensation; market trends and competitive issues; sales forecasting, budgeting, discounting, and inventory control.Work with Human Resources on personnel issues, recruitment, performance management.
Skills and Abilities:You must be able to effectively communicate the benefits of our products to a diverse audience of medical professionals through live dynamic demonstrations and travel as needed. The successful candidate must also be proficient in power point, word and excel and be able to give demonstrations in a highly technical environment.You and your team will employ strategic sales methods and continually keep up-to-date with industry trends and new product offerings. You will assist in providing consultative services to your clients ensuring that our products and services are optimally utilized, while continually helping your team to meet and exceed their sales objectives.Prior distributor or direct sales management experience.Experience as a Sales Trainer or lead person for other sales reps preferred.Fundamental understanding of general business concepts required to operate a profit center (P&L)
Knowledge and Educational Requirements:B.A. or B.S. in life sciences, business administration, related area or equivalent work experience5 - 7 years professional outside sales experience.Supervisory or management experience.Experience in medical sales preferred.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.Excellent customer interface and presentation skills.
