Sales Specialist - America's South Eastern Water Division

Reports to: Water Purification Sales Manager, Americas
1. Function:
He/she must make sure to sell and promote Water Purification systems and products, in agreement with the quality standards of Gambro.
2. Scope
The Sales Specialist will work closely with his/her Manager; sales team (inside and outside the water division) and customers.
He/she will work in co-operation with customer service, purchasing department, warehouse department and technical service department.
3. Responsibilities
3.1 Sales Specialist
3.1.1 Identify potential business and key decision makers
3.1.2 Identify customer requirements and develop product proposals to meet those requirements
3.1.3 Complete the request for proposal (RFP). Coordinate the quoting process through RFP, pricing, and contract proposal stages
3.1.4 Finalize the order process (sale) and follow the project till completion
3.1.5 Develop and maintain an expertise in the water purification domain on our systems and products and fully understand the water purification needs of the markets we serve.
3.1.6 Promote Gambro water purification systems and products at different local/national/international conference by providing presentations, and/or by assisting with congress activities and/or by attending the various conferences.
3.1.7 Sales Achievement - generate necessary sales to meet or exceed sales goals and achieve appropriate sales prices. Track and analyze progress.
3.1.8 Territory Management - prioritize accounts to determine coverage, assess opportunity and develop new business. Coordinate and manage resources to provide necessary customer service. Prepare weekly and monthly plans, track and analyze progress and trends, and prepare annual territory sales plan.
3.2 Market Evaluation
3.2.1 Develop and maintain a superior customer relationship networking
3.2.2 Observe and analyze market trends and competition and effectively communicate information to the rest of the water purification team by completing the customer and product/market databases.
3.3 General
3.3.1 Have to manage projects that may be relevant/necessary for the success of the division.
3.3.2 Assist with marketing strategies/activities to support Americas Water Purification Sales Manager.
3.3.3 Responsible for completing various administrative reports (ex: visit reports, expense reports, weekly agenda etc
)
4. Competencies
4.1 Qualifications
4.1.1 Bachelor degree in science or health science
4.1.2 Experience in sales (sales courses required)
4.1.3 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook);
4.1.4 Must complete water certification such as CWS certification (WQA);
4.1.5 Excellent English, written and spoken;
4.1.6 For Sales Specialist in Eastern Canada, must be bilingual. (French and English), written and spoken.
4.2 Experience
4.2.1 Minimum of 5 years experience in Sales
4.2.2 Minimum of 3 years experience in water treatment and / or water purification sector and / or sciences instrumentation.
4.3 Abilities and aptitudes
4.3.1 Good negotiation skills;
4.3.2 Strong presentation skills
4.3.3 Strong organizational skills and demonstrated prioritization skills;
4.3.4 Must be autonomous, professional, customer service oriented;
4.3.5 Teamwork oriented.
4.4 Area of responsibility
4.4.1 May have to assist other Sales Specialist colleagues in Americas
4.4.2 40 to 50% of time in travelling
4.4.3 Responsible for a set geographic area as assigned by Americas Water Sales Manager
