Senior Business Analyst St. Jude Medical, Atrial Fibrillation Division is committed to reducing the effect atrial fibrillation has on its patients!  Atrial fibrillation (AF or A Fib) is the most common abnormal heart rhythm.  It is a very fast, uncontrolled heart rhythm that occurs when the upper chambers of the heart try to beat so fast that they can only quiver.  We are seeking exceptional candidates to fill the following position in our St Paul, MN location:  Senior Business Analyst Plays a lead role in the detailed evaluation, design, development, configuration, and implementation of both small and large information systems supporting the efficient operation of SJM functions and processes.  Works directly with vendors plus local, divisional and corporate business partners, lending technical and business process leadership and expertise to efficiently and effectively solve business problems through technology solutions.  This position requires travel to other SJM sites as needed. Support existing applications and resolve technical and business problems. Provides leadership and direction to business customers in identifying and fulfilling their information needs. Develop query, reporting, and other information delivery solutions. Project leader for system analysis, design and implementation assignments ranging from large projects to small requests. Perform detailed evaluation, design, development, configuration, documentation, training and implementation of information systems supporting the efficient operation of St. Jude Medical business functions and processes. Reporting directly and working closely with divisional IT Director, works with Corporate IT and other divisions to establish and nurture business partnerships and deliver quality solutions. Four year degree in Technical field such as computer science, MIS, or Engineering.  Graduate degree is a plus.  Strong experience with relational database development, strong experience using various programming languages, experience with ERP systems.  Demonstrated experience using software development and implementation methodologies; developing appropriate documentation including charters, requirements & other design documents, test plans/cases; experience evaluating and facilitating the recommendation of various solution options including creating of a solution business case; comfortable with ambiguity; strong ability to break down problems into constituent parts and to develop plans for resolution; ability to learn new technologies with minimal training or supervision; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to transition smoothly between technical and business vernacular given the audience; ability to engage various levels of the business community.
