We have an immediate opportunity in our Carlsbad, CA territory for:Senior Mechanical EngineerResponsibilities: Produce conceptual and functional models to demonstrate feasibility. Work with project team members to produce development plans and identify and mitigate development risks. Develop and document designs in compliance with Quality System requirements, including formal demonstration and documentation of adequacy of designs. Perform and document finite element analysis and participate in product risk analysis activities. Work with Operations on successful transfer of designs to manufacturing.Requirements: B.S. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Masters preferred; Unique combinations of education and experience may be substituted if they provide the essential skill sets for the position. Minimum of 4 years experience with the mechanical design and analysis of mechanical systems, including sensors, actuators fabricated parts and assemblies. Experience in product design for production fabrication and assembly is required. Must be proficient with mechanical CAD tools (e g ProEngineer, SolidWorks, etc.) and trained in FEA principles. Experience in a regulated environment or under a formal product development process is highly desired.
