We currently have an exciting position in Dublin, CA for a Senior Program Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Program Manager is responsible for managing specific product related projects in R&D. Plans and directs program schedules. Monitors program from project initiation through delivery, interfacing with in-house staff on technical matters. Organizes interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the program on schedule and within budget constraints.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain currency of, and adhere to applicable GMP and ISO 9001 processes and procedures. Abide by state and federal employment laws.

• Manage all ophthalmic imaging related projects in R&D.

• Contribute directly to the development of system requirements through expertise in ophthalmic instrumentation.

• Plan projects, provide direction and coordinate the efforts of engineers and non-technical project team members in performance of assigned projects.

• Generate and maintain development schedules.

• Assist functional managers in development of existing staff and hiring additional well-qualified personnel.

• Coordinate with other R&D groups as well as Marketing, Sales, Service and Manufacturing to ensure successful product introductions.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

The Sr. Program Manager will report to the VP of R&D.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Advanced degree required in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or other technical fields. MS degree is equivalent of two (2) years experience and PhD is equivalent of five (5) years experience.

• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of hands on technical experience in product development.

• Two (2) years of experience in medical imaging products.

• Two to five (2-5) years of applicable experience in project or functional management.

• Experience with Ophthalmic instrumentation.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
