We have an immediate opportunity in our Pittsburgh, PA territory for:Senior Software EngineerResponsibilities: Lead the successful design and delivery of Respironics diagnostic software products including formal release to the user environment and assisting with ongoing technical support.Provide technical expertise in the system design of the products supported including software architecture, logic design, coding standards, and relationship to hardware components where applicable.Successfully interact with Product/Software Assurance, Product Support, and Marketing to achieve project and product objectives for reliability, performance, cost, quality, and time to market.Acquire and apply advanced technical judgment & decision making to successfully initiate enhancements to new and existing products to maintain and/or improve their design, quality, reliability, and to reduce overall product and process costs.Take accountability to execute their personal development plan to grow within current role and prepare for future roles.Continue to advance software development proficiencies in languages outside their current skill set that are applicable to diagnostics product architectureRequirements: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.Minimum of 5 years of related experience, requiredDemonstrated experience in the design of Windows applications, including client/server applications, required.Demonstrated experience in Object Oriented programming with languages such as C#, C++, or Java, required.Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Development Environment, preferred.Direct experience with implementing new product ideas, using a software lifecycle process, into robust, maintainable, user-friendly software products, preferred.Direct experience with FDA Requirements (as applicable to software assurance) and their application within a medical product development environment, preferred.Candidates must be able to travel occasionally.
