Senior Staff Accountant
Gambro is looking for a Sr Staff Accountant to join our financial control accounting team at our corporate headquarters in Lakewood/Golden to provide the maintenance and monitoring of an existing general ledger financial system. This person will perform account reconciliations, prepare various reports, and input general ledger transactions. SAP experience strongly preferred! You must currently live in the Denver metro area.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
· 3 - 5 years general ledger accounting experience.
· Excellent computer skills including ERP systems (SAP experience strongly preferred) and spreadsheet analysis.
· Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
· Willingness to take initiative and actively problem-solve.
· Ability to work well in a rapidly changing environment.
· Ability to work well with people to solve problems and resolve issues.
· Ability to handle confidential materials and issues appropriately.
Responsibilities:
· Executes the daily work processes and systems
· Creates and maintains required financial reports
· Interfaces effectively with internal and external customers
· Identifies, recommends, and implements means to continuously improve the efficiency and quality of department systems and processes, recognizing the impact to all areas.
· Makes sound business decisions and accepts ownership within the scope of responsibility.
· Initiates and completes special projects, involving analytical thinking and judgment.
· Actively participates as a member in a team oriented environment.
· Develops sound business relationships with all appropriate functional areas such as operations, sales, marketing, logistics, and quality assurance.
· Provides assistance and financial information to internal and independent auditors.
· Provides monthly reconciliations as required.
· Responsible for determining propriety of accounting entries associated with projects, accounts, and trial balances in accordance with IFRS and Gambro financial policies, practices, and procedures.
· Develops or supports reporting capabilities and understanding of the multiple systems applications within the Gambro environment.
· Records and maintains asset records, including the maintenance of the integrity of data in the SAP General Ledger system.
· Maintains and supports the Capital Expenditure process at our GA facility, including input, tracking and reporting of CER information.
