Senior Telecommunications Engineer
The job involves all aspects of telecommunications for division's US operations including phones, circuits, switches, telecom system integration, call centers, toll free numbers, telecom risk analysis and mitigation. Work requires vendor coordination and management, and telecom project management. Responsibilities will be shared with telecom team members. Candidate must have hands-on experience with NEC 2400, ACD/ Navigator, OpenWorX and voice mail systems. Candidate must have experience in multi-site environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary to succeed. Job requires communication with all levels of employees so excellent customer service skills are required. Business knowledge helpful as job requires significant communication with vendors. Upcoming projects reflect voice/data convergence, so network experience and Cisco certifications are desired. (CCNA, CCNP, CCVP) Requirements/Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience. Typically a minimum of six plus years of relevant work experience in telecommunications design and implementation, including direct experience in managing PBXs, voice-mail, switching, circuitry, interfaces, and cabling functions.
