Sr. Analyst, Business Systems (Facilities & Operations)
Job Summary This position will be embedded within an operational business unit and become an effective team member of that unit by learning operational functions and providing IT support services. Primary responsibilities would include the following; analytical work in identifying/designing technical solutions, programming/configuration/testing activities, implementation related work, and production support activities.General Functions § Provides technical leadership in designing, documenting, and implementing IT solutions required by the business function, (e.g. gathering user requirements, performing programming and testing tasks progress on all assigned projects, and communicating project process and/or problems to manage).§ Proactively evaluates new technologies that could provide operational efficiencies or competitive advantages.§ Performs development, application configuration, testing, and implementation related work.§ Lead implementation efforts regarding new system implementations, vendor upgrades, and custom modifications, (integration requirements, testing, training, production support).§ Provides appropriate System Development Life Cycle testing and documentation. § Demonstrates strong skills in communicating technical ideas to non-technical clients as well as peers in IM.§ Provide production support services as required.This is not an exhaustive list of duties or functions and may not necessarily comprise all of the "essential functions" for purposes of the ADAExpected Areas of Competence:§ Thorough understanding of the operational functions of the business unit being supported.§ Analytical skills associated with problem identification, understanding of business requirements, and developing/presenting system related solutions.§ Technical skills related to application programming, database functions, and/or application configuration activities.§ Technical documentation skills, (functional and technical specifications).§ Excellent communication, both oral and written, and interpersonal skills necessary to interact with a wide range of individuals.§ Ability to build relationships with other areas of the organization.Leadership Behaviors:§ Delivers results, drives for continuous improvement. § Acts with a sense of urgency.§ Encourages and supports collaboration across departments and takes actions that are in the companys best interest.§ Willingness to embrace change and adapt to new circumstances.§ Appropriately shares viewpoint, encourages the free exchange of information and opinions.§ Willingly owns results, focuses energy on what more they can personally do versus blaming others.§ Has a winning attitude and instills a passion for winning with other team members, an attitude which is demonstrated by a can do approach.§ Demonstrates principled leadership and sound business ethics; shows consistency among principles, values and behaviors.Experiences/Educational Requirements:§ B.S. degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.§ Project lead or participant of a large scale system implementation.§ Supporting business systems applications and/or development of business system applications.§ Experience in business processes within the sales field, especially as related to field inventory management§ Experience in implementing, configuring and supporting SAP plant and equipment modules.
