The Company:

Stentys is a medical technology start-up company that has developed a novel approach to treat coronary bifurcation disease with a unique drug-eluting, self-expanding stent technology and delivery system. Stentys is looking to develop this unique technology and others in development further to commercialization. With offices in Paris, France and Princeton, NJ, the company aims at launching its product globally.

Stentys is looking to fill various senior and junior level positions in stent, delivery systems and drug elution program development and leadership.

Job Description:

Leading the stent development program you will be in charge of all activities related to the design, development and manufacturing of Stentys’ current stent platform, as well as next generation products.  Ideally, you will hold a BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience in medical device design (stent experience preferred).



Responsibilities include:

 

· Stent design activities to bring stent designs from concept into reality through prototyping, testing and manufacturing.

· Working with vendors to develop appropriate manufacturing processes to produce product that consistently meets its requirements.

· Designing and performing animal experiments to demonstrate feasibility and functionality of design in vivo.

· Collaborating with internal and external parties to establish test methods suitable for product design and to ensure product meets required specifications.

· Establishing and ensuring adherence to design controls including product specifications, verification and validations to bring product to commercialization.

· Supporting required activities to attain regulatory approvals in EU and US.

· Establishing relationships with external vendors across Europe and US, working with external vendors to bring products to commercialization

· Performing and analyzing FEA on designs, managing fatigue, corrosion and material testing.

· Working closely with clinicians to establish product requirements and to test product in-vivo and in clinical settings

 

The ideal candidate qualifications:

· A BS or MS degree in mechanical engineering with 3+ years experience in medical device design (stent experience preferred).

· Experience with Self expanding as well as balloon expandable stent design and evaluations highly desired.

· FEA analyses, Fatigue and material testing of metals and nickel titanium based alloys.

· Demonstrated ability to seek and manage external vendors for product development and characterization.

· Experience in regulatory submissions and requirements for product approvals.
