Job Description Strategic Marketing Specialist-Clinical and Toxicology The Strategic Marketing Applications Specialist will focus on developing LC-MS applications for clinical, toxicology and forensic markets. The individual in this role is expected to spend significant amount of time both in the in-house development lab as well as at the customer sites, optimizing analytical system performance and developing specific assays. Also, the individual in this role will work on evaluating front end sample extraction and separation strategies, while also participating fully in product development, evaluation, and introduction campaigns, and assisting in the design of marketing programs and initiatives. Key Duties and Responsibilities: - New applications development: work independently as well as with other marketing specialists and customers to develop clinical research and toxicology applications - New product development: interface with Product Marketing groups and research & engineering to ensure alignment of strategic marketing goals among hardware, software and consumables products- Promotion and messaging: work with Marketing Communications group to develop effective messaging, collateral, campaigns and other activities directed to clinical and toxicology solutions- Training: develop and provide necessary training for customers, sales and others to communicate clear strategic messages - Customer and market feedback: develop tools to capture customer input, manage customer collaborations, keep up to date on new technologies and products - Competitive assessment: maintain current information about market trends and competition to develop competitive selling arguments and drive appropriate strategic direction for new product and application development We require an M.S. or higher degree in analytical chemistry or related subject as well as 3-5 years of related experience. Must have experience working with LC-MS and well familiar with analytical techniques and method development. Background experience in Bioanalytical method development in the Pharmaceutical/CRO industry, environmental or clinical toxicology is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Must have demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills. The ability to work independently as well as in teams, and have a strong work ethic is critical. High comfort level interacting with customers and sales. This position will require travel to regional offices, customer sites, and trade shows to create a solid team approach and further increase the company’s visibility in the marketplace.
