SURGICAL PRODUCT MANAGER

 

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team of Surgical Product Managers, each of whom are responsible for a specific range of products from the surgical portfolio, encompassing Urology, Gynecology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT and Airway Management.

Responsibilities include providing technical product and application information to customers and staff, as well as product training for new sales people and other employees.  The Surgical Product Managers are responsible for producing promotional marketing material for distribution in publications and through direct mail activities, together with providing direction for future product development to the R&D teams by liaising with Olympus’ other business and R&D centers.

As well as technical product management ability, the role demands strong administration skills as the position also requires the Product Manager to maintain the company’s computer records for their particular product range and prepare detailed sales & marketing materials for product launches to the salesforce.  Good presentation skills are also a prerequisite.

The role of the Product Manager also encompasses VIP management, involving the development of relationships with key clinicians and centers around the US, through regular visits, clinical evaluations and support for a number of training/educational programs.

A college degree, preferably in Life Sciences, Medical Technology, or equivalent experience, is required.  Previous experience in medical sales or of working within a product marketing environment would also be an advantage.
