Job Title: Training / Installation Engineer
Job Type: Contract
Estimated contract duration: 6-12 months+
Compensation Range: $20 - $25/hour
Other Compensation: Full benefits
Position Location: Based in Durham, NC; but will require extensive travel throughout North America

Summary:
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
· Performs the on-site installation, calibration, testing, maintenance and repair of complex medical equipment and systems in a retail pharmacy environment.
· Manages installation assignments and assigned customers nationwide.
· Provides technical support and problem resolution skills at new and existing client sites.
· Ensures customer satisfaction and maximum uptime by maintaining equipment functionality and troubleshooting and repairing hardware and software related problems.
· Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of system. Serve as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
· Provide exceptional training to customers or company employees on the operation and maintenance of complex medical equipment and systems.
· Instruct users on integration of system within pharmacy workflow. Maintain customer satisfaction level after training by conducting courtesy calls.
· Assist with updating customer training materials and manuals

Physical Requirements:
· Extensive travel (Road Warrior).
· Occasional Heavy lifting up to 75 lb - 100 lbs.
· Drivers license and good driving record required
· Works remotely
· Work sometimes performed in cramped areas; cleaners and solvents used to clean machines; potential for electrical shock, cut/pinched fingers.
· Work is performed in a retail environment; noise within acceptable safety levels; work sometimes performed in cramped areas.
· Requires reading; math; weighing and/or measuring; conducting research; analyzing and drawing conclusions; developing and implementing plans, procedures, solutions; coordinating others to accomplish results.
· Requires close, distant, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception
· Requires standing for long durations

Education/Experience:
· Associates degree in Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering Technology or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· 1 -3 years experience in medical or complex business equipment service preferred.
· Two or more years experience in training delivery; mechanical/equipment training experience preferred.
