Helix Corporate Human Resources has a need for a dynamic and talented Assistant Equipment Manager for the Deepwater Group.  The primary role of this position is to assist with managing the logistics and maintenance of pipelay equipment. 

 

The qualified incumbent will:

· Coordinate and schedule shipments with outside vendors / agencies and notify customers of arrival dates. 

· Prepare, monitor and organize shipping materials for accuracy and quality control. 

· Expedite and trace shipment to maintain and improve service levels and customer satisfaction.

· Analyze mechanical and operational problems on equipment and take corrective action.

· Conduct preventative maintenance checks of equipment, report findings and take necessary corrective action.


Experience Required:

· A degree from an accredited technical or vocational institute is required.  We will substitute experience over education.

· A minimum of 5 to 8 years experience maintaining equipment. 

· Experience planning and controlling the efficient, effective departure, arrival and storage of pipelay equipment. 

· Experience in ppreventative/predictive equipment maintenance

· Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems repair.
