DescriptionResponsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, a wide variety of credit and collection functions; notify customers of accounts past due, request payment information on current invoices, perform complex research and analysis dealing with billing and documentation issues, resolve billing issues and follow up to obtain required documentation, request debit and credit adjustments for customer accounts, review past due accounts for collection efforts, and make decisions on pending orders, release orders on hold; maintain records on credit risks, delinquent accounts and incomplete files; maintain appropriate ledgers; resolve customer account problems; post adjustments and other account actions; send follow-up emails or letters; operate a personal computer and use appropriate software packages; and other duties as assigned by management.Required SkillsQualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree (preferred); 3 to 5 years of Collections or Accounts Receivable experience in large manufacturing or other related industries; strong computer skills using an ERP program, SAP preferred; calculate numbers, correct entries, and post to records; gather data, compile information, and prepare reports; ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information; knowledge of standard receivable policies, procedures, and regulations; accurate and strong data entry and/or word processing skills; ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports; team player. Must have excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills. Individual must be able to work in a fast paced environment and adjust priorities on a daily basis.
