Director, Global Change Management
PURPOSE:
Defines and executes strategy for the Global Change Management function. Provides strategic organizational change management leadership, direction, and implementation expertise to enhance the company’s ability to implement and sustain change.
Define and lead strategy and team objectives for areas of responsibility including:
Building and executing global change management strategy, approach and standards
Provide deep expertise and experience in cultural change and effective organizational change
Design, integrate and build change management skill-set in the organization
Provide high impact change management services to business for strategic global initiatives
Effectively manage and deploy change management consulting to projects/programs
Lead and manage Change Management team to execute goals:
Structure department, talent, and resources to be flexible, scalable and aligned to achieve objectives.
Develop, and implement as necessary, contingency plans to assure goal achievement and reduce department risk.
Establish, manage and ensure execution of work plans (e.g. targets, budgets, infrastructure, resources and processes); continually evaluate priorities and resources to ensure alignment with department objectives and strategy.
Demonstrate Newmont Values and hold others accountable for doing the same.
Build a high-performing team (e.g. employee goal setting, delegation, coaching, mentoring, development of others).
Build and Maintain Effective Relationships/Partnerships:
Inform, influence and engage Executives, Program/Project Teams, and Regional Management (i.e. key stakeholders).
Build and maintain strong internal relationships with Executives, Hiring Managers and HR Management that assure speed and teamwork.
Build trust and credibility and manage relationships with internal networks and external vendors and contacts to achieve business results.
Promote an open and collaborative environment by encouraging the sharing of information and resources across boundaries.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral sciences, human resources, or business management. Advanced degree is preferred. Experience leading one or more HR or organizational effectiveness functional areas in management positions.Ability to carry a strong point of view.Experience designing, developing and implementing large-scale organizational change management capability and programs.Experience implementing and leveraging technology to enable the business and create efficiency.Proven experience directing, engaging and influencing management to make effective decisions.Effective, trusted and credible driver and advocate of people with ability to carefully balance the business trade-offs that may arise.Effective at leadership selection and assessment ensuring the right people are in the right roles; leading the business to identify and place people in the right roles.Ability to solve tough, complex and ambiguous problems; ability to exercise sound judgment, flexibility, resilience, initiative and commitment in an environment of rapid change.Ability to work within a multinational corporation with people from various cultures and areas of the business.Previous experience leading a team of direct and indirect reports.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Position will require travel to domestic and international sites. Travel estimated to be up to 25% of time.
Willingness to put in extra hours as projects and priorities dictate; ability to accommodate meeting times outside typical business hours to attend global calls, etc.
