Mechanical Nuclear Engineer (08157)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support client request for work involving nuclear power plant-related components design basis, assessments, and other miscellaneous related support. Work in a team environment to execute engineering research and problem-solving as directed by the client.  Interface with other disciplines and coordinate with management, procurement, operations, craft leadership, etc. as required.  Understand project scope.  Take active responsibility for schedules and budgets as explained and directed by the client.  Perform administrative duties such as preparing and presenting regular status and progress reports (budget, schedule, other issues that may risk success of any assigned project or deliverable).  Perfom all project documentation closeout, as needed, on a task-by-task basis.  Conduct project meetings, such as kickoff meetings, planning and status meetings, etc., as required.  Observe and follow site safety and quality guidelines and procedures.  Embrace and contribute to positive team culture.  Be trustworthy, trust your teammates, and verify conformance with a healthy questioning attitude.  Know your subject area to the level at which you are expected to perform. BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering plus a minimum of 7 years of experience in the nuclear power industry in either plant operations, plant engineering, or consulting engineering environment with plant interface.
