Metallurgical Engineer-Process

 

ORYX ADVANCED MATERIALS  is a rapidly growing multi-national sputtering targets manufacturer serving expanding and dynamic thin film industries.  The company employs various material processing technologies to produce advanced specialty products.  This position will provide opportunities to conduct interesting and challenging projects involving many aspects of metallurgical engineering and materials science.

 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

§  Establish and maintain standard operation procedures

§Control production process documents and improve processes

§Provide technical support to Production

§Assist in measurement, implementation, and monitoring processes and operation systems to meet quality, cost and efficiency requirements

§Work with R&D to introduce new materials and processes to Production

  Perform characterization of new products and failure analysis

§  Establish and maintain SPC program

 

  Qualifications:

 

§B.S. degree in metallurgical engineering or material engineering, M.S. degree preferred

§2-5 years industrial experience on powder metallurgy, vacuum casting, or thermo-mechanical working desired

§Metallographic experience a plus

§Excellent written and verbal communication skills

§Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities

§Must be able to work in a “hands on” environment
