T  The RoleOur client is seeking an experienced professional with experience in metallurgy, welding/fabrications, fracture mechanics, NDE and corrosion to play a significant and leading role in the provision of technical support on critical onshore oil and gas project developments, as well as developing welding, NDE and fabrication project requirements.  

 Qualifications

4 An advanced degree in materials science, metallurgic engineering or a related technical specialized field, complemented by an established reputation in a major field of specialization.

 Experience

4 A minimum of 10 - 15 years’ experience gained from the upstream oil & gas sector, or the pipeline manufacturing and construction fields;

4 A consulting background in material properties and applications with experience in the development of project requirements for welding, NDE and fabrication in accordance with current specifications and national standards and codes; 

4 Experience in providing project technical support, addressing critical developments regarding materials usage for critical components, laboratory testing and manufacturing processes, including the provision of evaluations and recommendations;

4 A record of success in the development of client relationships and the maintenance of internal and external stakeholder relations.
