Natural Resource Interns

Tetra Tech is a multi-disciplinary firm of consulting environmental scientists and engineers with offices throughout the United States. We are seeking two Natural Resource Interns to join our Salt Lake City, Utah, office and become an integral member of our team.

 

Responsibilities:

Two enthusiastic people to assist on a variety of natural resource projects in the western U.S. The position will involve coordination with our project managers and staff biologists for the collection of natural resource field data for several ongoing studies associated with mine-land vegetation reclamation studies, avian species, terrestrial wildlife (primarily mammalian), aquatic species, and related special status species. Anticipated range of employment is May 5, 2008 to August 15, 2008.

 

Experience:

Field experience with wildlife studies and botanical surveys is mandatory. Having a regulatory understanding of western U.S. land planning issues and related federal and state agencies is a plus.

 

 

Skills Requirements:

Anticipate that the successful candidates will have strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.

Degree Requirements:

B.A. or B.S. degree in a Natural Science-related discipline preferred, or at least a junior standing in progress towards a B.A. or B.S. degree.
