Senior Substation Designer (08160)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs design tasks of moderate to high complexity involving routine calculations, analysis, approved design principals, use of cataloged vendor information, standards, and templates for high voltage substation and switchyard projects. Works under minimal supervision.  Directs lower-level drafting and design personnel. Leads a phase of design on a large project.



10 to 15 years of qualified design and layout experience in High Voltage substation and switchyards. Highly skilled in use of PC and CADD to perform assigned duties.  Thorough knowledge of design and construction processes of utility substations.

Able to adhere to assigned budgets and schedules, monitor own and assigned personnel's production against schedule and budget, and communicate status to supervisor.
