Accounting Specialist I

Non-profit crisis intervention center serving survivors of domestic violence/sexual abuse/homelessness seeks Accounting Specialist responsible for the following:Handle payroll for approximately 60 employees using information from biweekly time sheets; preparing paychecks for distribution on the 5th and 20th of the month; prepare bimonthly payroll report and payroll tax report; manage employee vacation and sick time accruals;Manage accounts by handling cash recap on a daily basis and reporting to Finance Director; paying all agency bills in a timely manner; receiving and reviewing invoices,  check requests and other documentation; handle petty cash;Handle general ledger by performing bank reconciliations.
