Assistant Program Manager

Lutheran Social Services seeks a fulltime Assistant Program Manager for our Andover location.  We are a non-profit organization that helps and cares for people in need.  Lutheran Social Services has a committed and diverse staff of employees that help support the mission.

 

Summary: 

The Assistant Manager provides support, assistance and instruction to individuals in areas that facilitate their growth toward self-sufficiency.  He/she provides leadership and program supervision as directed in order to assure quality service delivery and positive individual and programmatic outcomes in accordance with Individual Service Plans and program strategic plans.  The Assistant Manager is a primary role model for both individuals and staff in presenting a positive and cooperative attitude, supporting the mission of the agency and programs at all times.

 

Primary Responsibilities:Carry a caseload of 4-6 active cases.Provide assistance to Program Manager as assigned.Perform all duties during the absence of Program Manager.Provide guidance as to how individuals can maintain their health and safety at home and in the community.Carry the Administrative On Call responsibilities every third week or as needed basisAssure that the program provides individuals with the necessary assistance to maintain a safe, structured and therapeutic milieu by effectively leading the staff in providing prompt and effective services.Demonstrate a strength-based philosophy, by treating all individuals, families and in an open and respectful manner which builds upon strengths.Assure that required documentation is complete, professional and timely – this includes but not limited to; treatment plans, file notations, daily logs and incident reports.Facilitate team meetings, individual meetings and groups that are productive and therapeutic as necessary.

 

Essential Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree with at least 2 years experience with similar population. In lieu of bachelor or associate degree a High School diploma and five years if experience with similar population.   Demonstrated ability to serve and care for people in need.  Knowledge of DMR systemExperience leading groupsAbility to be certified in first aid, cpr and Human Rights within three months of employmentValid MA driver’s license, with positive driving record and ability to travel to meetings as needed with own car or transport residents to activity or medical appointment.Ability to provide on-call and respond as needed to crises as scheduledFlexibility with work schedule as necessary
