In the role of a SPIN, Inc. Assisting Director - Behavioral Health Unit, you will be responsible for the managing, supervising, directing, planning and evaluating the operation and development of behavioral health residential sites in Adult Services.
Additional responsibilities include:
· Develops, plans, organizes, supervises, coordinates, budgets, monitors and evaluates policies, procedures and operations of the agency to insure the accomplishment of the department's mission.
· Ensures the provision of appropriate services in the area of Adult Services as determined by the agency mission.
· Maintains an active internal communication flow with all management staff to insure comprehensive, coordinated operations and individual services.
· Assures that Adult Services meets the needs of all service recipients in accord with best practice.
· Prepares all County, State and Federal reports pertaining to Adult Services.
· Supervises the management staff of Adult Services.
· Demonstrates fiscal accountability regarding the management and implementation of the department's budget.
Requirements include:
* Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Special Education, Behavioral Health or a related field.* Two years supervisory experience working directly with adults with mental retardation/Mental Health
*Behavioral Health care Preferred
* Valid driver’s license, own vehicle and insurance.
* Excellent oral & written communication skills.
* Ability to work with a variety of people in various settings.
* Patience and flexibility is a must.
* Proficient in MS Office and/or other Windows based programs.
