Associate Director, Foundation Relations

The National office located in downtown Chicago is seeking an individual to cultivate and solicit foundations to enhance revenue for the Association.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Identify, cultivate, and solicit foundations to provide financial support for the Association. Research foundations, write grant proposals, grant reports and follow up on grants in progress. Build strong relationships with assigned donors and prospects. Coordinate with program staff to identify projects for funding. Match projects with prospects likely to be interested in supporting specific projects. Provide data for the preparation of monthly status analysis reports.




Minimum RequirementsBachelors degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration. 3 years success fundraising solicitation. Experience in grant writing required. Computer proficiency High level of initiative, self-starter Public speaking skills Ability to build complex relationships to accomplish multi-faceted tasks Able to travel up to 25%
