We are seeking to add marketing know how and agency smarts to our in-house marketing/creative department.

 

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) seeks an experienced professional to manage programs supporting major initiatives in membership acquisition and retention, conference marketing and other businesses.

 

The successful candidate will work on projects in multiple media including direct mail, collateral, e-mail and the web as assigned.  Responsibilities will include estimating, acting as a liaison with internal clients, scheduling, and trafficking with internal design and data management teams, as well as, with outside suppliers. 

 

A background in direct response marketing is essential to success in this position. Experience with not-for-profit organizations a plus. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

·  Create and implement marketing plans for AIChE and related entities products and services.

·  Develop and edit copy and design with staff and external suppliers.

·  Create and implement list plans using rented and in-house sources.

·  Schedule and manage project from start through final approvals/production.

·  Budget and track expenditures.

·  Manage the production of all materials for assigned projects from estimating through final approval/production.

 

Experience:

 BA/BS with 4+ years experience in direct response marketing including print/mail production, e-mail and the web.A background in direct response is essential.Knowledge/experience with various marketing distribution channels.Working knowledge of letter shops, data processing and printing.Strong organizational skills; detailed oriented; strong follow-through skills.Strong multi-tasking skills.Excellent MS-Office – SPSS a plus.Strong oral and written communication skills; copywriting a plus.A strong team player.
