Project Place, located in the South End, is a 41-year-old non-profit organization serving adults experiencing homelessness --  through social enterprises (paid job training) and career coaching, adult education, transitional housing, and permanent housing.

 

Case Manager/Career Coach -- Project Place is seeking enthusiastic candidates for a full time position working to empower our clients toward independence and life fulfillment.  Our case management / career coaching is offered to clients who are enrolled in our job readiness classes, clients who are employed by our social enterprises, and clients who are receiving services while incarcerated. 



Case manager / Career coach responsibilities include recruitment, intake/assessment, goal setting, resource referral, job leads, resume building, statistics-keeping, follow-up contact, and most importantly, the development of a relationship of trust, accountability and encouragement.  Case managers/ Career coaches also share the weekly responsibility of facilitating an uplifting skills workshop with clients.



Case manager/Career coach must have demonstrated “people skills,” previous social service or career development experience, and an eagerness to continue professional growth. The ability to work independently and also collaborate with an organizational team will be crucial. 

 

Other requirements include: BA/BS in human services or related field, and knowledge of the issues of homelessness, including substance abuse and mental illness.  Spanish language skills preferred. 



Salary:  Mid to upper $30’s, depending on experienceBenefits include: Generous benefit time allowances, 401K, and a Cafeteria Plan for Health and Dental.
