Description of Duties:
The Community Support Specialist  operates within a total team approach to deliver assertive outreach services to persons with severe and persistent mental illness on the Southwest side of Chicago.  Providing hands-on skills training, support to facilitate recovery, and developing natural supports are the hallmarks of the job. 

Qualifications Required:
BA/BSW or MA/ MSW
Ability to function in computer oriented office
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to juggle several tasks while maintaining attention to detail
Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus

Requirements, Responsibilities and/or Duties Unique to the Position:
Car in good working condition
Valid Illinois Driver’s License with good driving record
On call one week per month

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree required.
