Content Manager

 

 

 

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the nation’s leading youth-mentoring organization, is actively seeking candidates for our Content Manager position located in our National office in Center City Philadelphia.

 

The Content Manager is responsible for overall project management of all content published in both the knowledge management and content management systems, in addition to general management of communications to agencies. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

§ Maintains BBBS online content to ensure its accuracy, timeliness and relevance, keeping in mind the Nationwide Strategic Direction.  

§ Directs and maintain systems and procedures for managing all web content. Manages a system to integrate new publications and other written materials into the websites, enhancing that information so that the websites are a source of more robust and relevant information.

§ Collaborates with the Associate Director of Intranet Services in helping to project manage the process for intranet and knowledge-base content updates through close collaboration with BBBSA project directors and departmental representative, ensuring the timely launch of new products on the website.

§ Writes and provides copy editing for Agency Resource Center content, including blast emails, e-newsletters and other web content.

§ Oversee the communication calendar and manage the process by which all communications to agencies are assessed for relevancy, delivery method and messaging.

 

Requirements:

 Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Marketing, with three to five years of writing/editing experience, including two to three years of work preparing and publishing web-based materialsRequires knowledge and prior use of Content Management and Knowledge Management SystemsExperience with administration of and publishing to Content Management and Knowledge Management Systems; Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with the public are essential.Certification in or education equivalent to web-based design, Web programming including, but not limited to HTML, a plus.  Ability to travel to and support regional and national conferences Writing sample will be required of all final candidates
