Cook Utility

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Kitchen Supervisor, the Cook Utility person is responsible for the preparation and serving of daily meals.  Other responsibilities as Cook Utility person includes keeping kitchen equipment clean, dishes, pots, pans and dining room tables clean.  Also making sure floors stay clean and coffee is made.  This position is On-Call, Part-time.

Essential Functions:The Cook/Utility person is responsible for preparing and serving all meals.Responsible for keeping all kitchen equipment clean.Responsible for sweeping of the dining room and kitchen; mopping both as necessary.The Cook/Utility person will perform other duties as assigned or as necessary to carry out the work of his/her position.All other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

 

Must be able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis.  Must be able to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead.  Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

1.   1 year minimum related employment experience.

2.   1 year minimum mass feeding experience.

3.   Food and sanitation experience.

4.   Ability to communicate and follow instructions.

5. Food handlers permit preferred.
