Customer Service Professional

Position Summary:

A member of the Donor Center team, the Customer Service Professional is responsible for maximizing donor satisfaction with UJA-Federation by responding to inquiries received by phone, mail, and e-mail; providing information to donors; resolving problems experienced by donors; providing feedback to agency; and acting as a liaison between our donors and the organization.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

·  Respond to donor requests for account information relating to billing, tax issues, Jewish Week, designated giving, and so forth; and explain the full array of UJA-Federation’s giving opportunities and clarify policies and positions

·  Resolve donor concerns by clarifying the issue, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to resolve it, and ensuring proper follow-up when necessary

·  Assist fundraisers and other departments with matters relating to donors

·  Record all inquiries in the Donor Center database for up-to-date and ongoing documentation of our donor contacts

·  Handle bills for special review, and assist the department director with periodic account reviews and special projects

·  Accept and process donor contributions, including tribute gifts

·  Process monetary adjustments and changes to accounts as requested by donors

· Produce billing statements, tax-substantiation receipts, acknowledgements, and other documents as requested by donors

 

Competencies/Skills:Commitment to UJA-Federation’s missionExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially on the telephoneAbility to listen actively, solve problems, and make decisionsAbility to multitask and work under pressure while remaining calm and at ease with the work, donors, and colleaguesExceptional attention to detailStrong team playerProficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to learn and use fundraising system FR100 and Donor Center Access database, and working knowledge of Web environments

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree required Jewish communal service preferred Two to four years of customer service or related experience preferred
