JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Position: Data Entry Clerk

 

Department: Facilities

 

Status: Part-time  Non-exempt

 

Primary Function: This position holds primary responsibility for helping the maintenance and grounds staff keep the campus in good working order.  Assists  maintenance staff in performing routine maintenance tasks.

 

Immediate Supervisor: Chief Operations Officer

 

Qualifications:

 

  Education:  High school diploma, GED with some college course experience. Computer skills needed.

 

Experience: Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction

  Knowledge and skill in operating software/computer programs for data entry

  Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with flexibility and mature judgment

  Familiarity with how various machines function

  Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to do a minimum of nearby travel.

 

  Responsibilities/Tasks:

 

1. Assist Maintenance Department in identifying mechanical assets in all campus and site facilities.

2. Enter inventory of mechanical assets into computer work order database.

3. Assume other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Physical Demands:

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or free objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.  Must possess a valid driver’s license for minimal travel to nearby locations/sites.
