Director Program Services - Day Hours!
CLASS, Inc. is a provider of day services to people with disabilities located in the Merrimack Valley. We support more than 300 individuals daily in day programs encompassing Day Habilitation, Mobile Day Habilitation, Employment Services, Clinical Services and Assistive Technology.

We are currently searching for a Director of Program Services - Employment Department - for our Lawrence facility.

Our Employment Dept includes a workshop that provides in-house production capabilities, community work opportunities and independent job placements for individuals supported with mental retardation and other disabilities in our programs. We pride ourselves in being well networked in the community to ensure regular work opportunities for the people we support. Our services include job development, clinical supports, and sourcing appropriate work opportunities and experiences for the people we support.

The successful candidate for this position will be able to effectively manage the production and employment department, working to meet strategic goals and individual support needs. They will also manage clinical support needs and behavior plans, be proactive in working with staff and approaching the community to solicit work opportunities, provide excellent staff supervision and mentoring, have a base knowledge of production processes, and a desire to enable people with disabilities to find meaningful and appropriate work opportunities. This position is part of our senior management team. 



Requirements

To be successful in this role you must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree, at least 3 years of management level experience in the disabilities field (DMR, DMH, DMA, Special Ed.) demonstrated strong leadership abilities, and be passionate about actively expanding work opportunities for people with disabilities. Experience with offender populations or those with significant clinical needs preferred. In addition, you must be a quick thinker, calm under pressure, and have solid presentation skills. Experience with workshops, production planning and scheduling and customer service a plus.
