The role of the Director of Communications and Brand Identity is to articulate a core brand presence through a distinctive, effective and, ownable idea that is relevant to customers and differentiated from CPC’s other partners--- and apply the Brand essence to all external outreach efforts.


This position will be responsible for articulating the Conservancy’s core business strategy that will then drive all brand expression from the identity and web site to signage, uniforms, retail and visitor center environments, advertising and merchandise. This business strategy will insure that the employment brand is understood and embraced and will act as a constant reference point for all employees and decisions.

 Position Responsibilities:This position oversees the Public Relations department consisting of an Associate Director and Manager of Public Relations, the Graphics Department, consisting of a Graphics Manager and Production Assistant, and the Web Manager. Develop a communications plan designed to generate awareness of the CPC Brand. Insure the proper expression of the Brand essence in all communications vehicles used throughout the organization. Partner with like quality organizations to help achieve Brand awareness Lead the transition team in employing a new web software platform that enables the organization to better target prospects and qualify Park users. Develop a communications plan for the web to provide a dialogue with current members and prospect for new Conservancy patrons. Maintain and develop communications staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

 Position Qualifications:B.A. degree in Marketing or related field, Minimum of of 7 years of experience in strategic marketing/branding experience, 5+ years in a supervisory role.  Website management experience is a plus, Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, pledgemaker), Excellent verbal, interpersonal and teamwork skills, Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure, to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks are essential.
