Director of Special Events

Organization:  American Lung Association of the Atlantic Coast Location:  Hunt Valley, Maryland

The American Lung Association of the Atlantic Coast (ALAAC) seeks an outgoing and motivated Director of Special Events to join us during an exciting period of growth as we expand service in Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia.  This is a unique opportunity to be part of our transformation as a region!

Key Responsibilities: Plan and execute regional event based fundraising initiatives in Maryland while working collaboratively across the region to meet ALAAC goals. Establish and maintain a network of volunteers and donors. Build and sustain community relationships and collaborations. Serve as external spokesperson on behalf of the ALAAC.

 

Qualifications:  Experience in event based fundraising and/or community relations. Ability to conceptualize and execute event logistics. Proven ability to build relationships. Excellent communication skills. Degree in communications, public relations or other related field is preferred as is experience in non-profit development, special events and community relations.
