A. JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for food delivery and general maintenance of the kitchen.

B. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:

1. Packs food, loads delivery truck and delivers food to satellite sites.

2. Operates agency vehicle in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. Conducts safety  checks on vehicle before and after operation and ensures that the vehicle receives regular maintenance inspections.

3. Maintains interior and exterior cleanliness of vehicle as needed and routinely checks and reports vehicle body damage.

4. Completes the daily mileage and maintenance log and submits gasoline bills on a weekly basis to the supervisory cook.

5. Makes non-food deliveries to sites as assigned.

6. Checks in and stores food deliveries and places in correct storage spaces. Properly dismantles and disposes of boxes to maintain department standards.

7. Hand washes dishes, pots and pans and/or operates and maintains a dishwashing machine to maintain the cleanliness of dishes, pots and pans.

8. Thoroughly sweeps and mops floors and uses a floor scrubber on a monthly and/or as needed basis.

9. Empties and cleans all kitchen trash cans on a daily basis.

10 Safely handles and effectively uses various cleaning and sanitation chemicals in compliance with federal, state and local safety, health and environmental regulations to prevent problems associated with chemical handling. Ensures chemicals are safely stored away and out of the reach of children.
