Supervisor of Nursing Responsibilities:

Ensure monitoring of health concerns for clients at Woods Services by coordination and front line supervision of assigned nurses and Medication Trained Staff (MTS).  Provides front line supervision of unit nurses and MTS on each shift.  Services as unit nurse when necessary.  Makes rounds at units on a periodic basis, providing supervision for unit nurse and MTS’s as well as doing quality assurance checks.  Provides written reports on unit rounds.  Provides support, encouragement, and feedback to unit nurses and MTS’s.  In coordination with Director of Nursing, performs evaluations and disciplinary actions.  Schedules nurses and MTS’s to provide appropriate coverage on each shift within budgetary guidelines.  Serves as on-call Nursing Administrator as scheduled.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Current licensure as RN in Pennsylvania.  Two years of experience in the field of MH/MR.   Management experience preferred. Excellent physical assessment/triage skills.  Current driver’s license.  Current CPR.  Must be able to lift and/or transfer a minimum of 50 pounds.  Good interpersonal and communication skills.
